About the Job

The position of Marketplace Specialist entails the following responsibilities:

  • Develop strategies for Launching & growing brands on Marketplaces (Amazon, Walmart) 
  • Setting up and managing Ad campaigns, ad groups, ads, keywords, bids, and budgets for all assigned accounts.
  • Participating in the client onboarding process and dealing with error handling.
  • Calculate agreed KPIs, and provide recommendations for campaign adjustment and optimization. 
  • Develop data-driven optimization strategies that increase clients’ ROI and product rankings.
  • Develop a strong understanding of products, competition, industry, marketing goals, and objectives for each customer.
  • Advanced keyword research that focuses on Amazon user search intent to use throughout campaigns and listings.
  • Monitor daily performance metrics to understand how campaigns, sales, and products are performing.
  • Efficiently communicate with clients and other specialists to align goals.
  • Update & improve listing content for improved rankings and conversion 
  • Create and update dashboards and reports for internal and client use, on a daily/weekly / monthly basis.

Qualifications for Amazon & PPC Specialist:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Marketing, Economics, Business, Maths
  • Experience with Google & Meta PPC
  • Understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking.
  • Knowledge of keyword research and data mining tools
  • Strong Familiarity with Amazon Seller Central, Amazon Support, and the Amazon Advertising Platform.
  • Strong experience on working with Google Analytics 4. Google Datastudio and VWO are a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (email, phone, etc.)
  • Excellent data analysis skills, ability to read, interpret and use data to inform ad strategies and product performance.
  • Familiarity with other retail marketplaces (Takealot, Esty, etc…) is a plus.

Salary range: R25k – R35k CTC
